Moebius Chair

The Moebius Chair is a challenge in terms of both form and production. It is based on the principle behind the Moebius strip, which was discovered by the German mathematician August Ferdinand Moebius (1790– 1868), and which is defined by having only one continuous surface and one continuous edge. Thus, it is possible to trace the continuous veneer surface all the way round without ever crossing an edge. The same is true of the edge.
